Nusa Penida conservation area declared

Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sharif Cicip Sutarjo on Monday officially declared a marine protected area (MPA) around Nusa Penida island, covering a conservation zone that boasts rich marine biodiversity including 150 hectares (ha) of coral reef, which is home to 296 species of coral and 576 fish species.
